The Isla Viola is the more southerly of two islands off the east coast of Lecointe Iceland in the Palmer Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . The other is the Guesalaga Island , with which it forms the archipelago of the Islotes Sigrid .
The name of the island was first recorded on a Chilean map in 1963. The naming background has not survived.
