Islamic Institute Xinjiang

The Islamic Institute Xinjiang is an Islamic educational institution for the training of high-ranking imams , chatibs and teachers of religious schools. It was funded by the Islamic Development Bank and government investments.

It is located in Ürümqi in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China . The building of the institute, founded in 1987, was built by Chen Baizhen in the Islamic style .

His curriculum includes the Koran (the holy scriptures of Islam), hadith studies , dogma, Islamic law , history, reading the Koran, exegesis, Arabic , modern Uighur , modern Chinese , politics and law, history and geography, sports, modern science and technology. From 2001 to 2008, the institute trained more than 20,000 Islamic scholars and officials.

President of the institute is Adudulrekep Tumniaz.
