The Islote Sura is a small island off the north coast of Trinity Peninsula at the tip of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located between the Schmidt Peninsula and Toro Point .
Scientists of the 2nd Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1947-1948) named it after the radio operator Raúl Sura Mesías, a member of the expedition who was involved in the construction of the neighboring Bernardo O'Higgins station .
