The Toro Point ( Spanish Punta Toro ) is a headland on the northwest side of the Trinity Peninsula in Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It forms the southern branch of the Schmidt Peninsula on the north side of the entrance to Unwin Cove .
Participants of the 5th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1950-1951) named the headland after the Chilean air force officer Carlos Toro Mazote Granada, who was part of the team on this research trip and was stationed in 1947 at the neighboring Bernardo O'Higgins station .
