The Unwin Cove ( Spanish Ensenada Unwin ) is a bay on the west coast of the Trinity Peninsula at the tip of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located immediately southeast of Toro Point and north of the Punta Ross headland .
Participants of the Second Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1947-1948) mapped the bay and named it after Lieutenant Tomás Unwin Lambie, who was involved in this research trip and acted as commander of the Lientur in the subsequent expeditions from 1949 to 1950 and from 1950 to 1951. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names transferred the Spanish designation to English in 1964.
