Ismael Bako (born October 10, 1995 in Leuven ) is a Belgian basketball player .

career

Bako made his debut with the Leuven Bears in the Belgian first division in the 2012/13 season . In 2017 he moved within the league to the Giants Antwerp . In the 2018/19 season he was named Center of the Year by the news service provider eurobasket.com in the Belgian league and in the Champions League .

At the beginning of 2019 he moved to the French first division club ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne and thus also to the EuroLeague .

National team

Bako was a Belgian U18 and U20 national player before he was accepted into the men's team.
