Ismael García
Ismael García (* in Ciudad Hidalgo , Michoacán ), also known by the nickname El Torombolo , is a retired Mexican soccer player in the position of goalkeeper .
career
“Torombolo” García began his footballing career in his hometown Ciudad Hidalgo and was signed by the opposing club after a friendly match of a Ciudad Hidalgo team, for which he was the guardian, against Atlético Morelia . He then moved to Unión de Curtidores and then to their city rivals León FC , for whom he guarded the goal in the decisive cup final of the 1970/71 season (5-2 after extra time against CD Zacatepec ) and won the Mexican Cup competition with the Esmeraldas . Also in the subsequent game for the Mexican Supercup (1-0 against Club América ) García was between the posts. After two years at León FC, he moved to the Tiburones Rojos Veracruz , with whom he was under contract for the last four years of his professional career .
