Evangelical Church Oberstedten

Klassik im Taunus is a concert series that organizes concerts with predominantly classical music all year round in the Taunus area .

Founded by the soprano Nina Vitol , the concert series “Klassik im Taunus” began on October 9, 2015 in the Evangelical Church in Oberstedten. The opening concert was given by the cellist Gavriel Lipkind and the pianist Roman Zaslavsky . Artists and ensembles such as Avi Avital , the Artis Quartet , Tanja Ariane Baumgartner , Gerold Huber , Elisabeth Leonskaja , Roman Zaslavsky, Gavriel Lipkind, Ksenija Sidorova , Stefan Temmingh , Nina Vitol, Dina Yoffe , Hilko Dumno , Johannes Martin Kränzle and the Ensemble Quatuor Modigliani appeared with a variety of concert programs.

The first two concerts were organized by the Evangelical Community of Oberstedten. All other concerts were the responsibility of the “Klassik im Taunus eV” association. In addition to the Evangelical Church in Oberstedten, other venues are the Bad Homburg Castle Church (in the Bad Homburg Landgrave Castle) and the Oberursel town hall.

In September 2016, the Hessian Minister for Science and Art, and later the President of the Hessian State Parliament , Boris Rhein , took over the patronage of “Klassik im Taunus”. In 2017, the EuroArts Music International label recorded one of the concerts in the series in the Schlosskirche Bad Homburg, a piano evening with Roman Zaslavsky, moderated by the actor Felix von Manteuffel , as a video production.

The artistic direction of the concert series is in the hands of Nina Vitol.
