Gerold Huber
Gerold Huber (born 1969 in Straubing ) is a German pianist .
His father of the same name, Gerold Huber senior, was a school musician at the Anton Bruckner-Gymnasium in Straubing and from 1967 to 2008 director of the Straubing Chamber Choir, which he founded .
Huber studied piano with Friedemann Berger and Helmut Deutsch as a scholarship holder at the University of Music and Theater in Munich and attended Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau's lied class in Berlin.
With the baritone Christian Gerhaher he has been a permanent lied duo for several years. In addition to Christian Gerhaher, he accompanies Ruth Ziesak , Franz-Josef Selig , Bernarda Fink , Cornelia Kallisch , Mojca Erdmann , Diana Damrau , Günther Groissböck and Maximilian Schmitt, among others . In addition, he is the pianist of the "Liedertafel", founded in 2002, consisting of James Taylor , Christian Elsner , Michael Volle and Franz-Josef Selig, and performed with the Artemis Quartet .
