Isolde Wawrin

Isolde Wawrin (* 1949 in Altdorf ) is a German painter and draftsman.

life and work

From 1971 to 1974 Wawrin studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe with Horst Egon Kalinowski and Markus Lüpertz , from 1974 to 1977 with Klaus Rinke at the Düsseldorf Art Academy . She married Yoshiyuki Kakedo in 1987, with whom she has a daughter. After the renovation of the Old Synagogue, she opened the Altdorf Art Gallery there in 1999 . On October 24, 2017, Yoshiyuki Kakedo died of cancer.

Isolde Wawrin's paintings are on the border between representational and abstract representations and are very independent.
