The Embassy of the State of Israel in Kiev is the official diplomatic representation of the State of Israel in Ukraine , based in the Ukrainian capital Kiev .
history
Israel recognized Ukraine's independence on December 25, 1991, diplomatic relations began on December 26, 1991, and the embassy opened in 1993. In addition to the embassy in Kiev, Israel also has a consulate in Lviv in western Ukraine. The first ambassador to Ukraine was Zvi Magen from 1993 to 1997 , followed by Anna Azari (1998-2003). The current ambassador since 2018 is Joel Lion (יואל ליאון).
