Anna Azari ( Hebrew אנה אזרי; * 1959 in Vilnius , Lithuanian Soviet Republic , Soviet Union ) is an Israeli diplomat .

Life

In 1972 Azari emigrated to Israel with her parents . She studied at the University of Haifa , where she received a Bachelor of Arts in History and English Literature , and a Masters in Political Science . In 1983 she started working in the diplomatic service of the Israeli Foreign Ministry . From 1989 to 1992 she was consul in San Francisco . After working at the Israeli embassy in Moscow from 1995 to 1997 , she served as the Israeli ambassador to Ukraine from 1999 to 2003 as well as the non-resident ambassador for the Republic of Moldova . From 2006 to 2010, Azari was the Israeli ambassador to the Russian Federation . She has been the Israeli ambassador to the Republic of Poland since September 2014 .

Azari is married and has two children.
