The Issa ( Russian Исса ) is a left tributary of the Velikaja in the Russian Oblast of Pskov .
The Issa has its origin in the small lake Dedino in the extreme southwest of the Pskov Oblast. From there it flows in a predominantly north-northeast direction until it finally meets the Velikaya flowing north, 178 km above its confluence with Lake Peipus .
The Issa has a length of 174 km. It drains an area of 1580 km². There are 200 smaller lakes in the catchment area of the Issa. The snowmelt accounts for a significant proportion of the annual runoff of the Issa.
