The Issoire APM 20 Lionceau is a two-seat light aircraft produced by the French manufacturer Issoire Aviation . It is the two-seat variant of the three-seat APM 30 Lion or the four-seat APM 40 Simba .
construction
The aircraft was designed by Philippe Moniot mainly as a training aircraft . It received its type certification in 1999 . It is the first type-approved small aircraft made entirely from carbon . As engine a is Rotax 912 A2 are used, which together with the two-bladed propeller , a cruise speed of 113 knots (209 km / h) allowed.
The cockpit is equipped with basic avionics consisting of flight instruments in the classic "six-pack arrangement". In the top row are the airspeed indicator , artificial horizon and altimeter ; in the lower turn pointer , compass and variometer . On the right side of the panel there is a display for engine monitoring.
