Istvan Megyesi

István Megyesi (born March 31, 1949 in Csanytelek, † July 25, 2016 in Budapest ) was a Hungarian football player .

Career

Megyesi played in Békéscsaba until 1966 . After he had been invited twice to the Hungarian national youth team, he was discovered and committed by Ferencváros Budapest . With Ferencváros he was national champion twice and won the Hungarian Football Cup four times .

At Ferencváros he appeared in a total of 365 games, including 213 national, 95 international league games and 57 games in national competitions. He also played in the final of the 1974/75 European Cup Winners' Cup and reached the semi-finals of the 1971/72 UEFA Cup .

National team

Between 1970 and 1975 Megyesi played seven times for the Hungarian national team.
