Ivan Stević ( Serbian - Cyrillic Иван Стевић ; born March 12, 1980 in Belgrade ) is a former Serbian cyclist .
Career
Ivan Stević was able to achieve some good results in the U23 age group and also draw attention to himself in races in the elite class; For example, in 2002 he came second twice on stages of the Tour of Serbia and placed on the podium several times in 2003 and 2004 in stages of the Baby Giro . His outstanding results from this period come from the 2003 season, when he was able to become Serbian-Montenegrin road racing champion and second in road racing at the B World Championship in Aigle .
In 2005 he received his first contract with an international cycling team , the Serbian-Montenegrin Continental Team Aerospace Engineering Pro Equipe . He again won the national championship title in road racing and one stage each in the Paths of King Nikola , the Sea Otter Classic and the Tour of Serbia. In 2006 he moved to the US Continental Team Toyota-United Pro Cycling Team and was Serbian road racing champion that year. In the Tour de Georgia 2007 , he decided a stage for himself and he won the road race of the B world championships. In the years from 2009 he drove again in European teams and during this time he became Serbian champion five times: in 2009, 2013 and 2015 in road races, 2010 in criterion and 2012 in individual time trial . He also won the Tour of Serbia in 2011 and 2013 and the Grand Prix of Sochi in 2012.
Four times - 2004 , 2008 , 2012 and 2016 - Stević started at the Olympic Games in road races, but could not achieve a leading position. In 2016 he ended his cycling career.
