Iván Vallejo
Iván Edgar Vallejo Ricaurte (born December 19, 1959 in Ambato ) is an Ecuadorian mountaineer . On May 1, 2008, he completed the ascent of all 14 eight-thousanders worldwide , a project that he himself called “ Desafio 14 ” (German: “Challenge 14”). He was the first Ecuadorian and the fourteenth mountaineer ever to climb all mountains above 8,000 meters , and the seventh to do so without the aid of bottled oxygen.
Vallejo is divorced and has two children.

- July 5, 1998: Broad Peak
- May 27, 1999: Mount Everest
- July 31, 2000: K2
- May 23, 2001: Mount Everest (second ascent)
- October 4, 2002: Cho Oyu
- May 26, 2003: Lhotse
- July 19, 2003: Gasherbrum II
- July 26, 2003: Hidden Peak
- May 16, 2004: Makalu
- October 10, 2004: Shishapangma
- July 20, 2005: Nanga Parbat
- May 22, 2006: Kangchenjunga
- May 24, 2007: Annapurna
- May 1, 2008: Dhaulagiri
