Ivan Vukas (born September 16, 1979 in Sinj , Yugoslavia ) is a former Croatian handball player and current coach. The native of Yugoslavia, mostly used as the right backcourt player , played for GWD Minden-Hannover in the Bundesliga .

Career

Vukas moved from Zamet Crotek to RK Metković-Jambo in 2001 . With the team he won the Croatian Cup in 2002. In 2004 he moved to the German Bundesliga club GWD Minden-Hannover. After two years he joined the Spanish club CB Torrevieja . In 2009 he moved to the Austrian club UHK Krems , with whom he won the Austrian Cup in 2010. In 2011 he went to Cyprus to European University Cyprus . In April 2014, the German upper division TuS 04 Kaiserslautern-Dansenberg signed him . In 2016 he ended his active career there.

In 2014 he started his coaching career in Kaiserslautern. First he trained the A and B youth for one season each. In 2016 he took over the A-youth again, which he still trains today. In the 2016/17 season he was also responsible for the club's second team.

Vukas completed 32 international matches for the Croatian national team and took part with the team at the 2004 European Championship in Slovenia .
