Ivana Kindl
Ivana Kindl (born January 18, 1978 in Požega ) is a Croatian R&B singer.
Career
Ivana Kindl is one of the most famous R&B singers in Croatia, with her first two albums Trenutak Istine (German: “Moment der Truth”) and Moj Svijet (German: “My World”) she achieved a level of awareness that goes beyond Croatia . It is particularly popular in the Western Balkans , but has also performed in Switzerland , among other places . Her repertoire combines R&B, soul and pop music.
Before her solo career, Ivana sang in the band Funky Towns for two years and was touring all over Croatia with them until she achieved her breakthrough in 2002 with the help of the group XL .
According to Ivana's greatest role models, Mariah Carey , Luther Vandross , Whitney Houston and the Croatian singer Vanna .
In 2003 Ivana took part in the Croatian preliminary decision of the Eurovision Song Contest , the Dora , with the song Ti mi daješ Snagu (You give me strength) .
In 2004 Ivana applied again, this time with the title Strastvena žena (Passionate woman) at the Croatian preliminary decision Dora for the ESC. She reached the final of the show, but couldn't prevail.
And in 2005 she was also represented at Dora with the song Tvoja ljubav meni pripada (Your love belongs to me).
The live album Live in Sax 2005 , a collaboration with the Soul Club , consists only of covers in English, including Beyoncé's Work it out, in which she once again proves her outstanding vocal qualities.
In 2005, Kindl won the annual Zadar Festival with the song Klik .
Ivana's third studio album was released on October 16, 2006. The album Osjećaj (German: “Feeling”) is a mixture of contemporary R&B , pop , soul , gospel , rock and alternative (12 tracks). For the first time, R&B no longer dominates; the album topped the Croatian album charts for several weeks and received good reviews. The album had the working title Sve otpoćetka (German: "Everything from the beginning"), which should symbolize that the singer wants to go in a new musical direction with this album.
In 2008 Ivana took part in the famous Croatian TV show "Zvijezde Pjevaju" for the first time, after the first season had enjoyed great success the year before. The singer even emerged as the winner from the show. “Zvijezde Pjevaju” is the Croatian version of the well-known British music show “Just the two of us”.
After six single releases from Osjećaj , Kindl's record company Menart Records announced that the singer was working on songs for her fourth studio album. A release date is set for mid-2009. In addition, the singer released a single with Još jedan mali date as the first harbinger for the new album.
The singer also released a gospel live album in December 2008 , as this year she held a purely gospel concert, which was positively received by fans and critics alike. The single Jesus, Oh What A Wonderful Child was released to market the gospel album .
At the beginning of 2009 Ivana took part again in the third season of the show "Zvijezde Pjevaju", her singing partner that year was Duško Modrinic (also known as Roko from the Croatian T-Mobile advertisement). Together they made it to the final and came in second after a narrow audience decision.
At the beginning of June 2009 the first official single from the fourth studio album was released with Oči (German: "eyes"). According to her record company, Ivana's career will turn around with this.
In November 2009 the second single Nisi Sam was released from the fourth album.
On April 29, 2010 Kindl's fourth studio album was released with the title Promjenjiva (German: "Variable"), at the same time the song of the same name was released as the third official single.
