Ivica Jozić (born July 22, 1969 in Mostar ) is a former Bosnian football player .

Career

The midfielder Jozić moved in 1991 from FK Sarajevo to Germany for the Gelsenkirchen club STV Horst-Emscher . After one season he moved to the second representative of FC Schalke 04 , with whom he played in the Oberliga Westfalen . After a year he moved on to SG Wattenscheid 09 . He played with Wattenscheid in the Bundesliga . Under coach Hannes Bongartz he made his debut on the 1st matchday of the 1993/94 season in a 3-0 win against Schalke 04. Under Bongartz Jozić completed two more games, then he came back to the train after the coach change to Frank Hartmann , under whom he also scored his first goal in the Bundesliga, it was the 33rd match day. Relegation was unavoidable for the Wattenscheider team, as Jozić scored three goals on matchday 34 in the game against Karlsruher SC . After relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga , he stayed in Wattenscheid for another season, played 24 games and scored three goals. This was followed by short positions at VfL Wolfsburg , in Belgium at Royal Antwerp and KSV Waregem . Then he returned to Germany and played for Rot-Weiss Essen , BV Cloppenburg , VfB Oldenburg and SV Wilhelmshaven .
