Ivo Miro Jović

Ivo Miro Jović (born July 15, 1950 in Trebižat near Čapljina ) is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian politician of the HDZ BiH .

After graduating from the University of Sarajevo, Jović worked as a history teacher in Ilijaš and Kiseljak . His political career began in 1997 when the Croatian Democratic Community (HDZ) of Bosnia and Herzegovina proposed him for a post in the government of the canton of Central Bosnia . In 1999 Jović became Vice Minister of Culture in the BiH Federation and held this post until 2001.

He was elected on May 9, 2005 to succeed Dragan Čović in the three-member state presidency after the latter was forced to resign due to an affair. In October 2006 Jović missed the re-election to the Presidium with 26.1% of the Croatian votes.

Since then he has been a member of the Croatian parliamentary group in the People's Chamber of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He is married and has three children.
