Ivo Ulich (born September 5, 1974 in Opočno ) is a former Czech football and current futsal player .

Career as a football player

society

Ulich began playing football at Spartak Nové Město when he was ten. About the stations TJ Náchod, Spartak Hradec Králové , VTJ Karlovy Vary and SK Hradec Králové he came in 1996 to the Czech top club Slavia Prague , for which he played five years. With Slavia he won the Czech Cup in 1997 and 1999 and also made the leap into the Czech national team .

In 2001 Ulich moved to Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga . After four years left Ivo Ulich, of the first goal in Borussia-Park scored, Borussia Moenchengladbach and went initially on loan until January 2006 in the Japanese J. League to Vissel Kobe . After Kobe was relegated to the 2nd division, Ivo came back to Mönchengladbach. There he broke the contract with Borussia in order to be able to look for a new club.

Since then, several clubs have been interested in the midfielder, Ulich decided on the offer of the second division Dynamo Dresden and signed a contract until 2009. He made his debut for Dynamo on February 22, 2006 when he won the 1-0 win on Matchday 17 against Hansa Rostock was in the starting eleven. He made 16 missions for the Saxons in the second half of the season, scoring two goals, and was relegated to the Regionalliga with Dynamo Dresden . Ulich remained loyal to Dresden and came to 34 missions in the Regionalliga Nord, in which he scored four goals. The Dresdner occupied the seventh place in the table, which means that the direct rise was missed. In the following season Ulich played in 25 games. Here he scored five goals and achieved eighth place with the club, which was enough to qualify for the newly founded 3rd division . In summer 2008 Ulich ended his active career. Eduard Geyer's successor Ruud Kaiser wanted to convince the Czech to continue his playing career, but Ulich stuck to his decision and terminated the contract.

National team

On September 23, 1997 Ulich ran for the first time for the Czech national team in the 2-0 victory in the World Cup qualifier in Attard against Malta . On April 29, 2000, he completed his eighth and last international match in a 4-1 win in the friendly against Israel in Prague . Here he scored his only goal. He has not been considered since moving to the German Bundesliga.

Futsal career

Then Ulich began his futsal career . In the 2008/09 season he played for the first division side SELP Mladá Boleslav, in eight games he scored three goals. In the summer of 2009 SELP moved to Prague and from then on acted as Slavia Prague, so that Ulich is playing for Slavia for the second time in his sports career.
