Iwa Vanya
Iwa Wanja (born October 10, 1905 in Karnobat , † June 26, 1991 in Berlin ; actually Iwanka Janakiewa ) was a Bulgarian- born singer , actress and screenwriter .
The actress with the stage name Iwa Wanja has starred in several silent films in Berlin since the 1920s . In the 1930s she was occasionally seen in some sound films as a supporting actress. At the same time, she recorded (film) hits on shellac records. In 1941 she met the musician and composer Norbert Schultze (" Lili Marleen "), whom she married in 1943. Several children emerged from the marriage, among them the musician Kristian Schultze .
After the Second World War , Vanya made a short film comeback. However, she shifted her activities to writing screenplays and libretti. So she wrote u. a. the scenarios for the series Jedermannstraße 11 .
