Iwan Ljuft (born June 30, 1998 ) is a Kazakh cross-country skier .

Career

Ljuft first appeared in February 2014 at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2014 in Fiemme Valley . There he finished 51st place over 10 km classic. In the following year, at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2015 in Almaty, he won 35th place in the sprint and 12th place in the relay. In February 2016, at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer, he came 11th over 10 km freestyle, eighth place in cross sprint and seventh place in sprint. In the same month he achieved 53rd place in the sprint, 28th place over 10 km classic and tenth place with the relay at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2016 in Râşnov . In the 2016/17 season he started in Minsk for the first time in the Cross-Country Eastern Europe Cup and finished 27th in the sprint and tenth place over 10 km classic. At the 2017 Winter Universiade in Almaty, he won the gold medal in the sprint. He also achieved 23rd place over 10 km classic and 22nd place in the subsequent pursuit over 10 km freestyle. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti he came in 54th place over 15 km classic and 17th place together with Alexei Poltoranin in the team sprint. At the Winter Universiade 2019 in Krasnoyarsk , he won the silver medal with the relay.
