Ivan Alexandrowitsch Newmerschizki ( Russian Иван Александрович Невмержицкий ; born May 31, 1984 in Tschussowoi ) is a Russian luge athlete .

Ivan Newmerschizki is a student and lives in Chusowoi. Since 2000 he has been part of the Russian national luge squad. He drives as a front man in a two-seater. His first partner was Vladimir Prokhorov . Both contested their first race in the Luge World Cup at the beginning of the 2003/04 season in Sigulda and immediately finished eighth. The doubles only drove the second race of the season in Altenberg , in which they finished 19th. Despite these few appearances, the duo was able to finish 21st overall. In the following season Newmerschizki / Prokororow in seven of the eight season races. They were among the top ten four times. In Altenberg they were able to improve their best result by one place to seventh place. In the overall standings they finished 13th. Less successful the 2005/06 season with only one outing in Calgary with a not very good 21st place. 2006/07 was a mixed year. A good ninth place in Cesana Pariol is offset by a disqualification and a race that was not brought into line with some mediocre results. At the Luge World Championships 2007 in Igls , the Russians took 13th place. They achieved the same result a year later in Oberhof . At the 2008 European Luge Championships in Cesana, they finished tenth. The last season of the doubles went rather badly next to the major events, in the overall standings they reached 24th place.

Newmerzhizky has been driving with Oleg Medvedev since the 2008/09 season . The best result of a good but not outstanding first season was a tenth place in the combined. Artificial ice rink at Koenigssee .
