Between 1991 and 2004 she was European champion seven times and vice-European champion twice. At the 1991 World Championships , she won the gold medal in the 48 kg class. In 1992 and 1994 she became vice world champion and in 1995 she won bronze. In 1997 and 1998 she was vice world champion again. At the 2000 Olympic Games , she was the first to win. But after she was positive for furosemide during the doping control , she was banned and the gold medal was revoked . After her suspension, she won bronze at the 2002 World Championships . At the 2004 Olympic Games , she came in fifth.
