János Kalmár (born April 16, 1942 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian saber fencer .
successes
János Kalmár became vice world champion in individual singles in Havana in 1969 . With the team he also won the bronze medal in 1969 and the silver medal in Ankara in 1970 . At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City , he reached the final round in the team competition and prevailed 9-5 in the battle for third place against France . Together with Péter Bakonyi , Tamás Kovács , Miklós Meszéna and Tibor Pézsa , Kalmár received bronze.
