Miklós Meszéna (born December 14, 1940 in Budapest ; † July 29, 1995 there ) was a Hungarian saber fencer .

successes

Miklós Meszéna became world champion with the team in Moscow in 1966 . In 1962 in Buenos Aires , 1967 in Montreal , 1970 in Ankara and 1971 in Vienna , he took second place with her, in 1961 in Turin , 1963 in Gdansk and 1969 in Havana in third place. In Paris in 1965 he also reached his only World Cup podium in singles, when he reached second place and thus became vice world champion. He took part in the Olympic Games twice: in 1964 , he finished the team competition in Tokyo in fifth place. Four years later he reached the final round with the Hungarian team in Mexico City and prevailed 9-5 in the battle for third place against France . Together with János Kalmár , Tamás Kovács , Péter Bakonyi and Tibor Pézsa , Meszéna received the bronze medal.
