Jozef Gucwa
Józef Gucwa (born December 20, 1923 in Kąclowa , † March 8, 2004 in Tarnów ) was a Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Tarnów .
Life
The Bishop of Tarnów , Jan Piotr Stepa , ordained him a priest on June 29, 1948 .
Paul VI appointed him on December 21, 1968 auxiliary bishop in Tarnów and titular bishop of Vaga . The Bishop of Tarnów, Jerzy Karol Ablewicz , consecrated him bishop on January 26 of the next year ; Co- consecrators were Piotr Bednarczyk , auxiliary bishop in Tarnów, and Jan Władysław Obłąk , auxiliary bishop in Gniezno .
As a motto he chose Ut Deus glorificetur . On December 11, 1999, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
