Józef Jarzębski

Józef Ludwik Jarzębski (born September 18, 1878 in Nieborów , † March 4, 1955 in Warsaw ) was a Polish violinist and music teacher.

Jarzębski studied at the Warsaw Conservatory with Stanisław Barcewicz and at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory until 1905 . From 1908 he was a violinist in the orchestra of the Bolshoi Theater . From 1918 to 1939 he worked as a professor at the Warsaw Conservatory, where he took over a violin class again after the Second World War. He is the author of a violin school ( Szkoła na skrzypce ). Grażyna Bacewicz , Tadeusz Wroński and Stefan Herman were among his students . His son Aleksander Jarzębski was known as a composer, his brother Stanisław Jarzębski as a violinist.
