Józef Stopka (born January 2, 1942 in Dzianisz ) is a former Polish biathlete who successfully competed internationally in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Józef Stopka was active for WKS Legia Zakopane and previously for Start Zakopane . The first international championship was the 1966 World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , where he was 14th in the individual. In the Polish silver medal relay - it was the first real World Championship relay race - it was not used. In 1967 he was in Altenberg in individual 24. A first highlight was the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble , where Stopka was 48th in individual and was therefore not used in the relay race. In 1971 he was able to win the bronze medal in Hämeenlinna on the side of Józef Rózak , Andrzej Rapacz and Aleksander Klima as the final runner in the relay race behind the Soviet Union and Norway. In individual he was 16. The last major event was the second Winter Olympics in Sapporo in 1972 , where he came in seventh place on the side of Józef Rózak, Andrzej Rapacz and Aleksander Klima with the relay. He was 35 in singles.
