Jörg Ennuschat

Jörg Ennuschat (born May 14, 1965 in Gießen ) is a German legal scholar .

Life

After graduating from high school in Hohenlimburg in Hagen , Ennuschat did basic military service in the air force in Essen and Unna in 1984/1985.

From 1985 to 1991 he studied law at the Ruhr University in Bochum. In 1995 Ennuschat received his doctorate on the subject of military chaplaincy . Constitutional and civil service issues relating to the cooperation of state and church with "summa cum laude" for Doctor iuris and passed his second state examination in 1996 . In 2003 he received the venia legendi for public law and European law with his habilitation on the subject of "Guaranteeing infrastructure through privatization and regulation" . In 2004 he was appointed to the University of Bielefeld , in 2005 he was appointed to a professorship at the University of Konstanz and since then has held a chair for public law and European law with a focus on administrative law. On October 15, 2011, he accepted a professorship for administrative law, in particular commercial administrative law and general political theory, at the Fernuniversität Hagen . Ennuschat now teaches at the Ruhr University in Bochum .

Ennuschat is married and has a daughter.

Research activity

The main focus of his research activities are public business law, municipal business law, administrative law, gambling law, education law and state church law. Ennuschat is head of the Research Center for Education Law in Europe at the University of Konstanz, which forms the framework for the "Konstanz Colloquia on Education Law". Ennuschat is co-editor of various writings, including a. the magazine for betting and gambling law. Textbooks and a. on municipal law in Baden-Württemberg and North Rhine-Westphalia and on public commercial law are in preparation.

Awards

On November 19, 2004, the Esche Schümann Commichau Foundation , Hamburg awarded Ennuschat its sponsorship award for his habilitation thesis.
