Jörg Graf

Jörg Graf (born July 19, 1966 ) is a German media manager . He has been Managing Director of RTL Television since February 2019 .

Career

After training and studying in Cologne and Bonn, Graf initially worked as a freelancer for various TV productions. In 1995 he moved to RTL as a production manager. After taking over the management of production management in 2001, Graf was responsible for the organization and negotiation of all RTL commissioned productions from 2006 onwards. In the following years, the responsibility also included the commissioned productions of VOX , RTLplus and Nitro .

In 2011 Graf also took over as Executive Vice President Intl. Acquisitions is responsible for all international program purchases by Mediengruppe RTL . From 2017 he took over the function of COO Program Affairs and became a member of the extended management team of RTL Germany. In addition to production management and international program purchasing, the function included responsibility for Norddeich TV Produktions GmbH, Universum Film GmbH as well as Nitro and the specialty channels Crime , Living and Passion . Graf was a member of the supervisory boards of the FilmFernsehFonds Bayern and the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW until 2017, and a member of the advisory board of RTL Disney Fernsehen GmbH & Co. KG ( Super RTL ) until 2019 . In February 2019, Graf succeeded Frank Hoffmann as Managing Director of RTL Television.
