Jörg Hoßbach (born November 13, 1964 in Braunschweig ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper and today's coach .

Career

In 1981 Hoßbach came to Eintracht Braunschweig and was in the professional squad for the first time in the 1984/85 season. He made his Bundesliga debut on November 24, 1984 against Werder Bremen (1: 4). The season ended with relegation. In the following years Hoßbach rose to the goalkeeper. For the club, however, it did not go according to plan and the team had to go to the Oberliga Nord in 1987 . There Hoßbach lost his status as “number 1” to Uwe Hain and in 1988 joined Hamburger SV . At HSV he did not appear in two years and left the club for VfL Wolfsburg . There he only experienced promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga in 1991 and in his last year as an active player, promotion to the Bundesliga in 1997.

He then ended his career and became a goalkeeping coach at VfL. In 2000 he acquired the Trainer A license. In 2008 he left VfL Wolfsburg and one year later began to work in his own capacity at the Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal . There he worked under the coaches Reinhard Stumpf , Eric Gerets and Gabriel Calderón . In November 2011 he was introduced to the SV Grün-Weiß Waggum as the A-Juniors coach.
