Jörg Lüderitz

Jörg Lüderitz (born January 9, 1935 in Rostin , now Rościn in Polish ) is a German bookseller and author.

Jörg Lüderitz is a grandson of the Neumark local historian Paul Biens (1874 to 1945). Lüderitz has lived in Frankfurt (Oder) since 1954 . Here he completed his apprenticeship as a bookseller. In 1957, Lüderitz was sentenced to a prison term of 2 years and 4 months by a GDR court for connection to an SPD youth organization in West Berlin . During his prison sentence he had to work underground in the mining industry near Zwickau. Lüderitz later became head of the department for literature distribution and propaganda in the district directorate of the Volksbuchhandel until 1991.

In 1999 Lüderitz was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit as a mediator between Poland and Germany .

His autobiography was published in Polish in 2009 under the title Z Nowej Marchii do Nowej Marchii and in a modified version in 2012 in German under the title Heimat Brandenburg. Stations of my life . In it he sat down u. a. dealt with the - from his point of view - wrong judicial decisions in the federal German courts in view of his activities as unofficial employee (IM) of the Ministry for State Security in the period from 1971 onwards.
