Jörg Müllner

Jörg Müllner (* 1967 in Amberg , Upper Palatinate ) is the author and director of numerous contemporary historical documentaries .

Life

The studied historian worked as a newspaper editor and switched to television in 1994. Since then he has been responsible as a writer and director for numerous prime-time documentaries broadcast worldwide. In 2009 ZDF showed its documentaries "Baby Federal Republic - How Democracy Learned To Walk" and "Escape to Freedom - With the Courage of Despair" about spectacular escapes from the Wall. For his three-part documentary "Göring - Eine Karriere" (2006), in which films from Hermann Göring's private archive were presented for the first time , he received the World Medal in Gold at the New York Festival and the Magnolia Award in Gold at the TV Festival in Shanghai . He is the author of numerous book chapters on contemporary history topics. Jörg Müllner lives in Wiesbaden .

In 2004 he founded the production company History Media GmbH as managing director , which produces documentaries on contemporary historical topics, most recently “The attack on Europe” (ZDF 2009), “Majesty!
