ZDFzeit is a documentary series by ZDF . It shows a wide range of topics, including documentaries on historical topics such as the First and Second World Wars , but also on current topics such as the new Berlin airport . Political, economic, consumer, health and tabloid topics are also covered.
The fixed slot is on Tuesday evenings on ZDF. Repetitions are shown on ZDFinfo . The programs can also be viewed in the ZDF media library .
According to ZDF, around 35 productions are offered per year at an average cost of around 240,000 euros per episode.
history
The start date was originally planned for March 2011, but it was postponed twice, first to autumn 2011 and then to January 2012. According to Roman Beuler, editor-in-chief of Zeitgeschehen at ZDF, the format was to be developed a little more. Another advantage was that additional documentation could be produced. The first documentary entitled On the Hunt for Lost Treasures dealt with the Wettin treasure stolen at the end of World War II .
