Heiner Wember
Heiner Wember (* 1959 in Olfen ) is a German historian and journalist .
Life
Wember completed an apprenticeship as a banker from 1975 to 1978. After high school and community service , he studied modern and Eastern European history as well as political science at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster until 1990 . In 1991 he published his dissertation on internment camps for National Socialists in the British zone of occupation and has since made documentaries for WDR, NDR, ZDF ( Guido Knopp ), Deutsche Welle , contributions to the Zeitzeichen program and writes articles in Die Zeit .
Wember has been the regular author of WDR 2 since 1997. In 2007, he was a speaker at the Network Peace Cooperative. Wember is married and has two children.
