Jörg Mayer
Jörg Mayer was a 16th century German bell founder from Heilbronn .
Life
He came from Nuremberg and was first mentioned in Heilbronn in 1524. He could have continued the Lachaman foundry there together with the widow of Jerg Bernhart Lachaman , since that workshop left two bells after the death of the last foundry member of the Lachaman family: the bell in the Gregorius Church in Neckarwestheim, dated 1524, and the bell dated 1526 Talheim town hall bell. Mayer is also credited with the bell from the town hall in Oedheim , dated 1535 . It is mentioned for the last time in 1540/41 when a house was bought.
