Hans Eltrich

Hans Eltrich († January 7, 1635 in Heilbronn ) was a bell founder in Heilbronn.

Life

He came from Moosbach in the Allgäu and applied for admission in Heilbronn in 1606, which was initially granted to him for one year. By 1610 at the latest he had the citizenship of Heilbronn . Little is known about his work. In 1609 he was in Bruchsal to negotiate a new cast bell for Rohrbach am Gießhübel . In 1618 he did not deliver a bell that had been promised for Kochertürn , and in that year his alcohol consumption and his untidy household are lamented. Its only surviving bell dates from 1623, weighs 190 kg and is in the church of Möckmühl - Korb .

He and his wife Barbara had three children who were baptized in Heilbronn: Hans Jerg in 1614, Maria in 1617 and Sebastian in 1619. Hans Eltrich died on January 7, 1635 in Heilbronn, his wife Barbara on June 15, 1638.
