Jörg Sobiech (born January 15, 1969 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
Sobiech began his career at FC Schalke 04 , for whose youth teams he played until 1987. From 1987 he played for SG Wattenscheid 09 , with which he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 1990 . 1993 moved to the Stuttgarter Kickers , but returned to SG Wattenscheid 09 after only one year. For the 1996/97 season he moved to NEC Nijmegen , with whom he played in the Eredivisie . From March to June 1998 he played with Stoke City in the First Division before returning to the Netherlands and playing for FC Twente Enschede . In 2000 he returned to Germany and played in the 2000/01 season with SV Waldhof Mannheim and Chemnitzer FC in the 2nd Bundesliga . From 2001 to the end of 2002 he played again for SG Wattenscheid 09. After half a year with STV Horst-Emscher , Sobiech ended his career in summer 2003.
