Jörg Bird Dance

Jörg Vogeltanz (born August 27, 1968 in Graz ) is a cross-disciplinary Austrian artist . Originally a stage designer, he turned primarily to the comic and illustration genre in 1993 and published his first comic meal in 1996 in the Graz cultural magazine Sterz together with author Martin G. Wanko . Jörg Vogeltanz is a nephew of the geologist, graphic artist and painter Rudolf Vogeltanz .

In 2001 Vogeltanz founded the comic edition preQuel , a small publisher for Austrian comics and graphic novels , which in 2009 was rededicated to the non-profit association edition preQuel for the promotion, distribution and production of comics, graphic novels and other forms of media. Vogeltanz also works as a lecturer for free drawing at the Joanneum University of Applied Sciences , as well as for computer-aided design work at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, as a graphic designer (including a cover designer for Milena Verlag in Vienna ) and as a director of various music videos, among others. a. for band projects by Christian Fuchs . From 2009 to 2010 he worked together with Thomas Ballhausen as editor of the media-theoretical book series Sequenzen - Contributions to Image, Sound & Text (edition preQuel). In 2012 he also presented a. a. As a director the production of the video / TV / internet series Pantherion ( Mystery ) set in Graz finished after 2 years of work.

He is a founding member of the art association entrancexit in Graz. From 2014 to 2017 he was President of priores ( Alumni Club of the Art University Graz ).
