Harald Havas

Harald Havas (* 1964 in Vienna ) is an Austrian journalist , author and translator .

Live and act

Havas was born in Vienna, where he also lives and works. He was editor-in-chief of the trade journal Comic Forum for seven years and was in charge of the Comic Worlds exhibition . In addition, he was the author of the internet comic Fred , which was supervised by ORF . From 1998 to 2006 he was a member of the jury for the award of the Max and Moritz Prize at the Erlangen Comic Salon .

From 1999 he was involved as an author and exhibition designer in the Austrian retro media phenomenon Wickie, Slime & Paiper .

Havas is together with u. a. Michael Wittmann and Rachel Gold founding members of “Comics gegen Rechts”, an initiative by Austrian comic artists to “send a signal against the recent incidents of right-wing and right-wing extremist 'slip-ups' and manifestations of all kinds.”

Havas has also been running a YouTube channel since April 2010 , where he regularly uploads videos of translations of the songs he reads out there.

Havas is a book author, screenwriter , game writer, comic writer , writer for children's media and journalist for magazines such as Wiener and has two daughters.

He is co-founder and main author of the comic series Austrian Superheroes, which has been published since 2016 .
