Júnior Futbol Club

The Júnior Football Club is a 1917 in which today Barcelona belonging place Sarria founded by 15 young men sports club. The club is now based in the city of Sant Cugat del Vallès , 17 km northwest of Barcelona, with departments in field hockey , football , tennis and paddle tennis . The six hectare club area includes a soccer field, two artificial turf hockey fields and eight tennis courts. The association was also known for its opera performances, which some members performed under the direction of Joseph Shoemaker between 1931 and 1969.

Soccer

The first field that Junior FC played was in the garden of one of the club members in Maurici Serrahima. The dimensions were too small and there were several trees in the field. For a few years the club had to play all games away from home until the Diagonal site in Sant Cugat was available around 17 kilometers to the northwest. In the 2017/18 season, the 1st men's team played in the Segona Catalana and finished 15th out of 18 places.

The men's team plays in the highest Spanish League Division de Honor Masculina - A . In the 2017/18 season, the team reached the Spanish championship final, which was just lost against the RC Polo de Barcelona in the shoot-out, and will therefore take part in the Euro Hockey League for the first time in 2018/19 .

The women of Júnior FC also play in the highest Spanish league, finishing fourth in the 2017/18 regular season. From 2016 to 2018, the team made it to the national cup final, but was subject to the Club de Campo Madrid .
