Jewish cemetery (Selters)
The Jewish cemetery Selters is a cemetery in the local community Selters in the Westerwaldkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate . It was also occupied by surrounding communities (including Mogendorf ).
The Jewish cemetery is located south of the village on a wooded hill in the so-called "Hahn Forest" between the state roads L 304 and L 267 and can be reached via the Wachtweg. In 1991 it was placed under monument protection.
The 3360 m² cemetery, which was laid out in the mid-19th century and occupied between 1870 and 1938, has around 115 tombstones . In 1994 the cemetery was desecrated . 25 tombstones were overturned and the inscriptions on three stones were destroyed.
