The Eltville Jewish cemetery is a Jewish cemetery in Eltville am Rhein in the Rheingau-Taunus district in Hesse . It is located on Schwalbacher Strasse in the middle of the communal cemetery.

history

After the Jewish community members were initially buried in the Oestrich Jewish cemetery , a separate Jewish cemetery was set up in Eltville in 1896/97. This was on November 11, 1897 on the occasion of a funeral by district rabbi Dr. Silberstein from Wiesbaden inaugurated. The area of ​​the cemetery covers 5.71 acres and there are around 30 tombstones .
