María Isabel Moreno Allué , also Maribel Moreno , (born January 2, 1981 in Ribes de Freser , Girona ) is a former Spanish cyclist .

Cycling career

In 2001, María Isabel Moreno won the Tolosa GP and was third in the national road championship. In 2002 she won the GP Pavie . In 2003 she was the junior European champion in road racing, third in the European championship in the individual time trial and third in the Spanish championship. Three times - in 2005, 2006 and 2007 - María Isabel Moreno was the Spanish road racing champion, and in 2007 she was also the national champion in the individual time trial. Also in 2007 she won the Tour Cycliste Féminin International de l'Ardèche and was third in the Giro d'Italia Femminile .

doping

In July 2008, María Isabel Moreno was tested positive for doping with Epo during a training check before the Olympic Games in Beijing and was banned for two years until mid-January 2011. Apparently, she did not return to cycling after her suspension expired.
