Anna Sanchis Chafer (born October 18, 1987 in Xàtiva ) is a former Spanish cyclist .

Athletic career

Anna Sanchist, daughter of former professional cyclist José Salvador Sanchis , started cycling at the age of five and competed in races in all age groups. In 2005 she became Spanish junior champion in the individual time trial and runner-up in road racing . In 2008 she started the road race at the Olympic Games in Beijing and finished 19th. In 2011 she was the Spanish runner-up in the women's time trial. In 2012 she became the two-time Spanish time trial and road racing champion, and in 2013 she won the road champion title a second time. In 2015 she was again Spanish double champion on the road.

At the end of the 2017 season, Anna Sanchis ended her cycling career after becoming a mother.

Private

In addition to her cycling career, Anna Sanchis studied medicine at the University of Valencia . She is in a relationship with the Spanish professional cyclist Jesús Hernández (as of 2017). In her free time she plays the cello .
