Wiggle High5 was a British cycling team in the women's cycling .
organization
The team was founded for the 2013 season and was licensed as a UCI Women's Team . The main sponsor was the sporting goods mail order company Wiggle . The second name sponsor was initially the Honda concern , which supported the Faren Honda team last year . A foundation by Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins also helped fund the team .
The team's best- known driver was the two-time road world champion Giorgia Bronzini , who, like her compatriot Elisa Longo Borghini , scored numerous victories for the team. Jolien D'hoore and Kirsten Wild later won UCI Women's World Tour races.
The wiggle team was founded by the former cyclist Rochelle Gilmore with the aim of professionalising women's cycling and setting standards that were gradually met and overtaken by other teams. After the team ran into organizational difficulties in 2018, Gilmore announced the end of the project at the end of the 2018 season in the summer of 2018.
