Claudia Lichtenberg born Häusler (born November 17, 1985 in Munich ) is a German racing cyclist .

Athletic career

Claudia Lichtenberg completed her 2005 Abitur at the high school Geretsried and studied since 2005 mechanical engineering in the field of development and design at the Technical University of Munich .

In 2006, in the second year in the elite class, Lichtenberg won the German Road Championship in Klingenthal and in 2007 the German Mountain Championship .

She achieved her greatest international successes in stage races . In 2009 she won the Tour de l'Aude Cycliste Féminin and the Giro Donne as a member of the Cervélo-Lifeforce Cycling Team and in 2013 the Giro della Toscana Femminile as a member of the US team TIBCO-To The Top .

Name change

Claudia Lichtenberg initially carried the family name "Häusler" during her cycling career and was known by this name. In June 2014 she married and announced that she would henceforth race under the name "Lichtenberg".
